A business show, dedicated exclusively to timber
The Carrefour International du Bois is a business show that is dedicated exclusively to timber. It was created in 1990 by the timber professionals of the Loire Valley region, and more specifically by the Port Authority of Nantes and Saint Nazaire and Atlanbois; the regional association for the promotion of timber. Initially organised as a congress, from the start the Carrefour became an upper class arena for timber trade meetings.
At every edition, the Carrefour has evolved carried by its growing reputation. It has now become an international tradeshow, welcoming the major players of the timber trade.
Every 2 years at Nantes
Every 2 years, industrialists of primary and secondary processing (sawmills, panel, parquet, furniture elements and building products manufacturers, DIY stores, traders, importers-exporters…), meet to do business in Nantes. The exhibition park ‘La Beaujoire’, then becomes a huge timber market, where you can find all the species be it hardwoods, softwoods or tropical timber.
